Galeton Rotary

Galeton Rotary Club is a group of approximately 17 dedicated individuals committed to the Rotary Motto "service above self." The club has been in existence for over 90 years and continues to serve our community and the greater good through our continued efforts.

Every year, the Club sponsors the Annual Rotary Woodsmen Show. In 2020 the event was cancelled due to COVID-19. The show resumed in 2021 and 2022 be the 70th year for the event. Countless volunteer hours are undertaken by club members, their spouses, families and friends to make the show something special. To all who help the members wish to express our sincere appreciation.

Many attendees and show volunteers still call the show the "carnival" a term used in years past. Many of our children have grown up spending the first full weekend in August up "on the Hill". So if you can attend the 2022 event it will be held at Cherry Springs State Park August 5th, 6th, and 7th. and we hope to see YOU "on the Hill".

    

 

The hard work has resulted in a successful show.  Profits are used to support various community projects and organizations. These include the following local organizations/causes:

Additionally, each year Galeton Rotary provides two scholarships for seniors graduating from Galeton Area School District. Cash awards to graduating seniors who enlist in the military are also made.

Galeton Rotary Club meets at the Perma Stone Inn, Rt. 6 in Galeton each Thursday night at 6:30pm.
